Residuals to Renewables: Powering the Air

Biosun’s mission is to convert agricultural biomass residues into a usable bio-oil intermediate for production of clean fuels including Sustainable Aviation Fuels and Marine Bio-Diesel. Our modular, decentralised approach combined with our feedstock-agnostic technology, unlocks feedstock diversity and secure long-term production and supply of drop-in fuels.

Thailand generates over 100 million tons of agricultural biowaste annually.

Converting polluting waste into environmentally friendly aviation fuel benefits both local communities and the airline industry

Agricultural Residues Burned or Wasted

Each year millions of tonnes of biomass waste in Thailand and South East Asia is being burned causing significant levels of pollution and leading to respiratory disease and early deaths. Meanwhile, demand for clean fuels is rising. But feedstock cost and availability continue to restrict uptake whilst infrastructure in emerging markets remains underdeveloped.

We Create Value from Waste

We convert agricultural biomass residues into a usable bio-oil intermediate for production of clean fuels including Sustainable Aviation Fuels and Marine Bio-Diesel. Our modular, decentralised approach combined with our feedstock-agnostic technology, unlocks feedstock diversity and secure long-term production and supply of drop-in fuels.

Local Farmers

We put farmers and communities first by purchasing our feedstock from local farmers and creating local jobs to support income generation

Community

By reducing open burning of crop residues, we’re improving the health and wellbeing of local communities by reducing particulate emissions, a leading contributor to respiratory disease.

Circular Economy

Eliminating the pollution caused by open-field burning while providing cost-effective Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) creates a powerful circular economy
